Anna Amato Suddenly Stopped in the Middle of the Procedure Anna Amato Demanded $1000 from the Patient

American police arrested a woman after she impersonated a licensed dentist and began performing a root canal treatment on a patient, only to stop abruptly in the middle of the procedure, leaving the man in pain and bleeding.

According to reports cited by the Daily Mail, Anna Amato, 49, from Old Bridge, is accused of practicing dentistry illegally.

It was revealed that Amato demanded $1000 from the patient for the procedure, which had been arranged via an advertisement posted in a WhatsApp chat group.

"Illegal Practice of Dentistry"

According to details, the patient arrived at Amato’s office in South River, where she began injecting anesthetic into his gums and drilling his tooth, before suddenly stopping and asking him to return a week later to complete the procedure. When he returned, she told him she could not finish the work and provided a list of other dentists but refused to refund the $300 deposit, leading to an altercation that required police intervention.

The patient later went to the police station while still bleeding, with gauze in his mouth, prompting authorities to arrest Amato immediately.

Police executed a court-issued search warrant at her office and seized several tools as evidence. Amato was charged with illegal practice of dentistry, aggravated assault, and financial facilitation of criminal activity.
