In a festive Ramadan setting, Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, hosted the world’s largest communal iftar in a bid to enter the Guinness World Records, gathering thousands of fasting participants from all regions and backgrounds.

The huge table was set up along the city’s waterfront, where more than 5,700 people sat together to break their fast.

Fadé Sweid Ramadan, from the organizing association, said, “The aim of this initiative is not just to set a new world record, but also to bring Lebanese people together from the far north to the far south and from east to west around a single table during the blessed month of Ramadan.”

The invitations included diverse community groups, from orphans and the elderly to needy families, while roughly 700 volunteers from across Lebanon helped organize the event, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among citizens throughout Ramadan.
