Preparation for the “Group of Death” in Asia

The North African Championship is a key preparatory stage for the 2026 AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand next April.

The Asian draw placed Jordan in the “Group of Death” alongside North Korea, South Korea, and Uzbekistan.

Coach Hussam Abu Ryesh previously stated that the Asian group is highly competitive with experienced teams, noting that the challenge will be tough but provides extra motivation to improve the players’ mental readiness for such high-level competitions.
