Yazan Al-Naimaat: Jordan ready to compete strongly in the Arab Cup, aiming to repeat Asian success

Yazan Al-Naimaat emphasized the Jordanian national team’s readiness to compete at a high level, citing the historic achievement in the last Asian Cup. He stated: "We are fully prepared to show our strength and play with the spirit of one team, just as we did in the 2023 Asian Cup."

The Jordanian star and Al-Arabi SC forward praised the significance of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, highlighting that the tournament is a perfect opportunity to relive the "World Cup atmosphere and the wonderful memories" of Qatar 2022. In an interview with the local organizing committee, as the countdown to the tournament’s start on December 1 begins, Al-Naimaat described the event as "a gathering to celebrate Arab talent" and a platform to showcase the region’s passion for football to the world.

A World Cup experience on Qatari soil

Al-Naimaat expressed pride in representing the "Nashama" once again in the tournament hosted by Qatar, praising the country’s track record in organizing major sporting events. He said: "In the 2025 Arab Cup, we will relive the amazing atmosphere and memories from when Qatar hosted a historic World Cup."

He added: "Fans and players will enjoy modern infrastructure and top-tier hosting standards. We will play in stadiums that previously hosted matches in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, making this a unique experience."

Arab Cup 2025 details

The tournament draw placed Jordan in a highly competitive Group C, alongside Egypt and the UAE, plus the winner of the playoff between Mauritania and Kuwait. The "Nashama" will begin their campaign on December 3 with a strong clash against the UAE at 8:00 PM at Al Bayt Stadium.

Nashama’s ambition after the Asian achievement

Al-Naimaat, who rose to prominence after leading Jordan to a historic 2026 World Cup qualification, aims to replicate his personal and team successes. The "Nashama" forward won the Bronze Boot in the previous Arab Cup after scoring three goals.

He reiterated the team’s readiness to compete strongly, citing Jordan’s historic run in the Asian Cup: "We are fully prepared to show our strength and play as one team, just as we did in the 2023 Asian Cup when we reached the final for the first time in our history. I will give my utmost effort and perform at my best."
