A wave of controversy erupted in recent hours following the circulation of an alleged video showing blogger Hadir Abdel Razek with her ex-husband, blogger Mohamed Otaka. Her father defended her, describing the video as fabricated and manipulated.

Hadir Abdel Razek’s father stated that his daughter is currently outside Egypt and is unaware of the reason behind the video leak, asserting that it is fabricated. He added: “Find out who leaked the video and hold them accountable,” explaining that his daughter has hired a lawyer to take all necessary legal measures against those who published the video.

“Leaked Video”

Her mother confirmed that she does not know the identity of the person who leaked the video, noting that accusations against Hadir’s ex-husband, Otaka, are unfounded. She said: “We don’t know who leaked the video or why they constantly try to defame my daughter in this way.” She added that she and Hadir’s father are ill at home and their health cannot bear the repetition of these rumors.

In communication with Dr. Hany Sameh, the lawyer representing Hadir, he stated that the filed complaint has been referred to the Economic Prosecution for examination and investigation to identify the person responsible for the leak, in preparation for legal action against them.

Lawyer Hany Sameh filed several complaints on behalf of Hadir Abdel Razek against websites and accounts that violated information technology and media laws, alleging the publication of fabricated videos. He called for an investigation to reach the publishers and distributors of these fabricated materials. The complaints include crimes of video fabrication, falsification and false attribution, defamation, use of technology for slander, violations of the Press and Media Regulation Law, and misuse of personal data in content that violates public decency and damages reputation.
