Al-Hanouna Association for Folk Culture Combines Tradition and Modernity to Preserve Palestinian Identity Upcoming Concert by Al-Hanouna Association on Thursday and Friday in Amman

With the rich scent of Palestine, deep longing for its towns and villages, and a poignant ache for the painful events afflicting the blessed land, Al-Hanouna Association for Folk Culture presented a collection of national songs that touch hearts and minds, expressing profound love for the land that has been struggling against the occupation for decades.

During their appearance on the program "Helwa Ya Dunia," broadcast on Roya TV every Friday at 9 AM, the association’s media official, Mohamed Abu Ziad, emphasized the importance of preserving Palestinian heritage over many years—an important responsibility carried by Al-Hanouna.

Abu Ziad pointed out that the association is set to hold a concert on the coming Thursday and Friday at the Trassanta College Theater in Jabal Al-Luweibdeh, Amman’s capital, showcasing the finest folkloric performances by the Al-Hanouna troupe. The presentation will blend a fresh style with an authentic, traditional flavor, conveying a strong message about the importance of Palestinian identity.

Abu Ziad also revealed that "Seerat Salem" will be one of the surprises featured at the upcoming concert, which will be held under the sponsorship of the Roya Media Group. The event promises a rich, heritage-filled evening, with a continuous pursuit of excellence aimed at gaining audience appreciation.

Heritage and Identity

In the same context, Ayman Khaled, a former member of Al-Hanouna’s musical band, stressed the importance of preserving Palestinian heritage amidst ongoing attempts by the occupation to erase and hide it.

He explained that he joined the troupe in 1990 but was unable to continue due to certain circumstances; however, his attachment to the group led him to remain as an assistant member.

Khaled said the mission of Al-Hanouna troupe is to preserve Palestinian heritage, which forms the foundation of identity across generations. He noted that his daughter has been part of the Dabke dance troupe since her early childhood, reflecting his firm belief in instilling patriotism in the younger generation who will grow up loving their homeland.
