Min Hunna Nabda - The stray dog shelter in Aqaba is facing an overcrowding crisis.

In this segment of the program "From Here We Begin," the Al-Rabi Association for the Protection of the Environment and Animals has warned about the danger of stray dogs reaching the city of Aqaba after the city"s only shelter has reached full capacity, housing more than 650 stray dogs. This situation poses increased risks to the city"s residents, especially with the start of the new school year. The shelter, located in the Shamiya area, 15 km northwest of Aqaba, faces problems with a shortage of water and electricity, poor road conditions leading to the facility, as well as limited financial and food resources. The shelter currently employs six staff members and two volunteers but struggles with insufficient support to continue providing care for the dogs.
