The messaging platform is developing a new interface for the chat list screen aimed at improving how conversations are displayed and organized within the app, while reducing overcrowding in the main user interface.

According to the information, the upcoming update will move chat lists into a dedicated menu instead of displaying them in a single continuous row within the “Chats” tab, offering a more structured and easier browsing experience.

It will also introduce a separate section for channels inside the chats tab, where channels will appear independently from individual chats and group conversations, ensuring a clearer separation between different types of content.

This change comes after the expansion of filters and list features within the app, which has gradually made the interface more crowded and less intuitive to navigate.

Under the new design, users will be able to choose which lists remain visible on the main screen, while the rest will be moved into an additional section accessible through a new “More” button.

The goal of these changes is to make the chats tab more organized and user-friendly, reducing visible elements and improving access to the most important conversations.

The update is still under development, and is expected to be released in a future version after testing is completed.
