A high school graduation in the Ghamra district of Egypt turned into a social media sensation when Hosny appeared on stage, dancing enthusiastically to the Shami Dabke with one of the attendees.

Only afterward did it become clear that his partner was the ambassador in Cairo.

Hosny shared the clip on his official Instagram account, joking that he hadn’t realized who he was dancing with.

He wrote, “This handsome, charming man came up on stage at the school event. I hugged him and we danced the Shami Dabke together, and he went along with it like it was completely normal. After I left, I found out he was the French ambassador in Egypt.”

He added, “I want to thank him for joining me on stage and tell him how fun and wonderful he is.”

The video quickly went viral, with followers responding with laughter and playful comments.

The French embassy also issued a statement on its social media platforms, praising the festive atmosphere at the school and highlighting the ambassador’s eagerness to share in the students’ graduation celebrations and activities.
