Grief has swept through the Syrian and Arab artistic circles following the announcement of the death of actor Adnan Qannou‘, who left behind a rich artistic legacy and an unforgettable mark in the memory of viewers.

The Syrian Artists’ Syndicate mourned the late actor on its official Facebook account, stating: “The Damascus branch of the Artists’ Syndicate mourns the passing of our esteemed colleague, actor Adnan Qannou‘, father of fellow actor Bilal Qannou‘. We will update you shortly with the details of the funeral, burial, and condolence schedule… Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.”

Qannou‘’s career spanned many years and was distinguished by the diversity of his roles and his mastery of the art of acting, blending comedy and drama in his work and achieving wide acclaim across Syrian and Arab audiences.
