Jordan’s taekwondo athletes continued their international dominance, with the national team (juniors and seniors) securing a total of eight medals in just two days of fierce competition at the Sofia Open in Bulgaria’s capital.

The junior team delivered an exceptional performance on Saturday, winning four medals (three golds, one silver). Rising stars Asid Nafe’, Ahmad Al-Dahamsheh, and Abdullah Al-Zawahreh claimed the golds, while Zainab Baseelah added a valuable silver, highlighting the bright future of Jordanian taekwondo.

Seniors: Olympic Experience Boosts Medal Count

The senior team opened the competition on Friday with four medals (two golds, two bronzes) in this G2-level tournament. Olympic stars Zaid Mustafa and Saleh Al-Shurbati earned gold, showcasing world-class readiness, while Mohammed Adarbeh and Zaid Al-Halwani added two bronzes. The team’s total now stands at five golds, one silver, and two bronzes.
