• Mai Omar thanks fans for their support during personal hardship

Egyptian actress Mai Omar expressed her deep gratitude to everyone who offered support and condolences following the death of her father, saying their kind words helped ease some of the pain she was feeling during this difficult time.

She shared a message on her official Instagram story: “From my heart, I thank everyone who offered condolences, whether by attending the funeral, sending a message or call, or sharing a kind word. Your presence by my side during this time has been a real support, and your kind words and prayers eased my burden.”

Mai Omar also gave special thanks to her friends and colleagues, adding: “Special thanks to my colleagues and friends who made me feel I am never alone and that I always have a big family around me in hard times before joy.”

She concluded her message with a prayer for everyone who stood by her: “May God reward you with all goodness, never show you grief, protect your loved ones, and keep any pain away from you.”

This year, Mai Omar has achieved major success with her new Ramadan series “El Set Mona Lisa”, sharing the screen with stars including Ahmed Magdy, Sawsan Badr, Wafaa Amer, Shaimaa Seif, Engy El-Muqaddem, Mohamed Mahmoud, and Gory Bakr. The series was written by Mohamed Said Bashir and directed by Mohamed Ali.

The show follows a young girl who loses her parents at age ten and moves to live with her uncle’s family in Ismailia. As she grows up, she reunites with a childhood friend who promises her a life of wealth and happiness and proposes marriage—but she soon discovers that reality is very different from what she expected, setting off a chain of dramatic events.
