A source close to Hany Shaker told two Arab newspapers that the singer recently suffered a serious health episode that required hospitalization. He spent three days under close medical observation before doctors allowed him to return home.

The source added that Shaker is now resting at home under his family’s care, but he faces difficulty moving due to ongoing complications from a delicate lumbar spine surgery he underwent last January. His pain intensified in recent days, prompting the hospital visit.

Actress Nadia Mostafa expressed concern for Shaker’s health in a social media post, calling on fans to pray for his recovery.

She wrote: “My brother not born of my mother… my lifelong companion and dear friend, the great artist Hany Shaker, I ask Almighty God, Lord of the Great Throne, to grant you swift healing, dress you in health and wellness, and reassure my heart and the hearts of everyone who loves you.”

She added: “O God, cure him completely, leaving no trace of illness, and turn what he has endured into elevation in rank and increased wellbeing. My prayers for you never cease, that you return to us stronger, as we always knew you with your smile, nobility, and warm presence. I ask everyone to pray for his full recovery.”

Shaker also recently addressed rumors about his wealth, dismissing claims that he owns a fortune of “one billion dollars” as exaggerated and unrealistic.

He told a television program that his artistic and family commitments do not allow him to amass such “fantastical” wealth, confirming that his financial situation is far from the figures circulating publicly.

He added that the largest sum he recently spent was on finishing his new home, which cost approximately 50 million Egyptian pounds.
