The Asian Football Confederation has announced the dates for Al-Hussein Irbid and Al-Ahli Qatar’s quarterfinal matches in the AFC Asia 2 Champions League, in a highly anticipated tie as both teams aim to take another step toward the title.

• First leg: Tuesday, March 3, 9:15 PM, in Doha, Qatar.

• Second leg: Tuesday, March 10, 9:15 PM, at Amman International Stadium.

Renewed Jordanian ambition

Al-Hussein Irbid is making its second appearance in the continental tournament as the reigning domestic league champion for the past two seasons. The club has already made history by reaching the quarterfinals, becoming the first Jordanian team to reach this stage of the competition.

The team overcame Esteghlal Tehran in the round of 16, winning 1-0 away and 3-2 at home, proving its readiness to compete for the West Zone title.
