Adraee sparked widespread controversy when he shared a photo of the late actress, commenting: “This year’s Bab Al-Hara series during Ramadan in the Arab world will not be as we are used to.”

He noted that the passing of Huda Shaarawi represents a significant loss for the Arab audience, who lost a symbol of authenticity and art that accompanied viewers for many years.

Adraee added: “We believe in the importance of culture in the Arab world; it is the bridge connecting the past to the present, and the common language that transcends all barriers.”
