  • Trump threatens to sue Trevor Noah
  • Over a joke about Epstein

U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to file a lawsuit against comedian Trevor Noah after the latter made a joke about Trump and Jeffrey Epstein during the Grammy Awards ceremony.

While hosting the ceremony, Noah said: “Song of the Year – this is a Grammy that almost every artist wants as much as Trump wants to buy Greenland, which makes sense because after Epstein Island disappeared, he needs a new island to spend time with Bill Clinton.”

Trump is known to have had a relationship with Epstein for years, but he said he was unaware of Epstein’s crimes and that their association ended around 2004.

There is no evidence that Trump ever visited Epstein’s private island, and none of Epstein’s victims have accused Trump of any crime.

The U.S. Department of Justice has described all allegations against him as false and fabricated.

In 2020, a spokesperson for Clinton stated that the former president “never visited” Epstein Island and did not accuse Clinton of any wrongdoing.

Trump responded to Noah’s joke on his platform, Truth Social, saying he “will have his lawyers file a lawsuit”: “Noah said about me, in an incorrect way, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. Wrong!!! I cannot speak for Bill, but I have never visited Epstein Island, not even close, and even before tonight’s false and defamatory statement, no one accused me of being there, not even the misleading media. Noah, a total failure, would be better off correcting his information quickly.”

He added: “Get ready, Noah, I will enjoy this a little with you!”

Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial.

Epstein bought his private island in 1998, and many survivors have claimed they were subjected to trafficking and exploitation there.

In recent years, Trump has been known to pursue legal action against several media organizations.

Trevor Noah, from South Africa, hosted a program on an American comedy channel for seven years.
