- This pioneering initiative aims to provide a safe and organized environment for the Jordanian public to show full support for the national team, emphasizing the role of sports in uniting the nation and fostering a sense of belonging
In a move reflecting national solidarity with Jordan’s official football representative and responding to the public’s eagerness to cheer for the “Nashama” at the Arab tournament, the Ministry of Youth has mobilized its staff and prepared sports facilities across the country to serve as lively “stands” behind giant screens.
These preparations ensure a proper collective viewing experience for loyal fans during the national team’s participation in the Arab Cup currently held in Qatar.
The ministry confirmed that sports halls in youth cities will be fully open to welcome families and young fans, starting from the eagerly anticipated opening match between the “Nashama” and their UAE counterparts on Wednesday, December 3. To create an atmosphere reminiscent of live stadiums, doors will open two hours before kickoff, with national songs and performances energizing attendees and boosting morale.
The viewing locations are geographically distributed to reach the largest possible audience: in the capital, Amman, Prince Hamzah Sports Hall in the Hussein Youth City will serve as the main gathering point; in Irbid, the main gymnasium in Al-Hassan Youth City will host the expected crowd.
Other governorates are also included: in Zarqa, fans will gather at Prince Muhammad Sports Hall; in Madaba, doors will open at Prince Hashim bin Abdullah II Sports Hall; in southern Karak, Prince Faisal Youth City hall will host attendees, while Aqaba’s “City Square” at Prince Hamzah Youth City will blend the sea breeze with the fans’ chants.
This distinctive initiative seeks to offer a safe and organized space for Jordanians to express their unwavering support for the national team, reinforcing sports’ role in unity and national pride, as all eyes turn to see the “Nashama” honor Jordanian football on this major Arab stage.
