Jordan tops Arab Cup participants list for the tenth time
Jordanian national team
  • A 60-Year Legacy

The Jordanian national football team, “Al-Nashama,” is set to make its tenth appearance in the Arab Cup “FIFA Qatar 2025,” a participation of added significance as it serves as preparation for the 2026 World Cup finals.

More importantly, this participation places Jordan at the top of the list of teams with the most appearances in the tournament’s history.

Record Holder in Participation

The national team is making its tenth appearance in the Arab Cup. Since their debut in the inaugural edition in 1963 in Lebanon, Al-Nashama have become the only team to participate in every edition of the tournament to date.

This consistent commitment has made Jordan the team with the highest number of appearances among all Arab nations, reflecting a long-standing legacy of football excellence.

The historic campaign begins with a strong match against the UAE at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, at Al Bayt Stadium, within Group C alongside Egypt and the winner of Kuwait vs. Mauritania.

Final Preparations Ahead of Doha

The national team will resume training in Amman on Saturday, November 22, before departing for Doha on Saturday, November 29. This final local camp aims to finalize the squad and address errors observed in recent friendlies against Tunisia and Mali.

Through this participation, the Jordan Football Association seeks not only to maintain its historic record but also to use the tournament as an opportunity to compete against strong Arab football schools under high-level competitive conditions, ultimately preparing for a strong showing at the 2026 World Cup, where Al-Nashama have secured their first-ever qualification.

Thus, this tenth participation is not just a statistic; it marks a pivotal milestone in Jordanian football, combining a rich history in Arab competitions with ambitions to leave a strong mark on the global stage.
