Al-Nashama begin final preparations on Saturday ahead of departure to Doha

- National team begins final training ahead of Arab Cup fixtures
The Jordan national football team will resume its final preparations in Amman on Saturday, before heading to the Qatari capital, Doha, to participate in the FIFA Arab Cup 2025.
This local training camp serves as the last stage after returning from Tunisia, aiming to finalize tactical plans and confirm the starting lineup ahead of the major Arab tournament.
Departure to Doha days before opening
The national team delegation is scheduled to leave for Doha on Saturday, November 29, just days before the tournament kicks off.
Participating in the Arab Cup is a key test for team readiness, as the matches take place in stadiums similar to those used in the World Cup, directly supporting Jordan’s preparations for its historic debut in the 2026 World Cup.
Coach Jamal Salami and his staff are working to correct errors observed in recent friendlies against Tunisia and Mali, while ensuring players reach peak physical and tactical harmony.
The short Amman camp will focus on set-piece drills and attacking efficiency.
Crucial fixtures in the “fiery group”
Jordan begins its campaign in Group C, which features strong and diverse teams, with a Gulf derby, a match against the qualifier from the playoff, and finishing the group stage against Egypt:
-
Jordan × UAE: 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, at Al Bayt Stadium.
-
Jordan × Winner of Kuwait/Mauritania: 2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
-
Jordan × Egypt: 5:30 PM Tuesday, December 9, at Al Bayt Stadium.
Importance of Arab competition before the World Cup
The Arab Cup matches offer the Jordanian team a dual benefit: exposure to varied Arab football styles under high-pressure conditions and a benchmark for assessing their competitiveness in a tournament format less than a year before the World Cup.
