Man Confronts Tourist in Aqaba, Demands Money Identity of the Person in the Video Identified

A video rapidly circulated on social media showing a man confronting a tourist in Aqaba and demanding money, sparking widespread outrage among Jordanians, who described the behavior as “unacceptable.”

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated in a press release shared with Roya TV that the video prompted immediate follow-up by security authorities, leading to the formation of an investigative team to track the case and identify the person appearing in the clip.

He added that the investigative team quickly located the individual, raided his location, and arrested him, confirming that all legal and administrative measures would be taken against him.

This incident underscores the authorities’ commitment to protecting tourists and ensuring their safety, highlighting the importance of rapid security intervention to address any violations that could harm Jordan’s image as a safe tourist destination.
