Death has claimed Egyptian director Ahmed El-Toukhy, according to an announcement by the Cinema Syndicate on Sunday evening, as his good qualities and artistic works were fondly remembered.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Syndicate said: “The head of the Cinema Syndicate and the members of the board of directors mourn our colleague, director Ahmed El-Toukhy – former director at Channel Two of the Egyptian Television, National Media Authority.”
The statement added: “We share in your sorrow over the passing of the late, may God grant him mercy and forgiveness. With deep sadness, we pray for patience and solace for his family. May God envelop the deceased in His vast mercy.”
