The Late Atef Kamel’s First Wife Clarifies the Circumstances of His Death

Mona Roman, the former wife of the late Egyptian media personality Atef Kamel, broke her silence following accusations over the past hours, in which some people wrongly held her responsible for her ex-husband’s death after a lawsuit and a ten-year prison sentence was issued against him.
In a post on her official Facebook account, Roman clarified that she is not the person being targeted by these claims, but rather Kamel’s second wife. She wrote: "To clarify… Atef Kamel had a heart condition… and he passed away due to the impact of a ruling in a case filed against him by his second wife."
She added: "I divorced the father of my children in 2009 and moved with the kids to the U.S. Since then, our relationship has been full of respect and goodwill, and there were no legal disputes between us. May God have mercy on him and console us."
Atef Kamel’s Career
