New details emerge in the “Buried Girl’s Body” case in Amman

In shocking new developments regarding the discovery of a buried girl in a deserted area of Amman, the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate revealed that a special investigative team had taken charge of the case after the incident occurred on Monday by an unknown individual.
The spokesperson told Roya TV that the girl’s identity was determined based on the forensic report, which indicated that the cause of death was manual strangulation.
He added: "After gathering information and evidence, suspicions were narrowed down to a certain individual, who was later found to be in hiding, prompting authorities to issue a search notice for him."
Suspect Apprehended
The spokesperson noted that on Tuesday morning, a report was received by the South Amman Police Directorate regarding a person attempting suicide by jumping from the second floor of a residential building in the Bayader area. After being taken to the hospital, it was discovered that he was the same suspect in the girl’s murder case.
Further investigation after his treatment revealed that he confessed to killing the girl by strangulation following a personal dispute, and that he had buried her in the deserted area with the help of one of his relatives, who was also arrested.
The spokesperson confirmed that the case will be referred to the Public Prosecutor at the Grand Criminal Court to complete legal proceedings against the suspects.
