The city of Petra, in southern Jordan, resumed its regular tourism activity on Monday, following a temporary halt the previous day due to unstable weather conditions accompanied by heavy rains and flooding. This led to the suspension of ticket sales to the archaeological site in the afternoon.
Engineer Yazan Mahadin, Commissioner of the Reserve and Tourism Department at the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, confirmed that tourism activity in the city has returned to normal.
