A Polish social media influencer has raised nearly 70 million dollars for a children’s cancer charity after a nine-day uninterrupted livestream that featured a wide range of celebrities from music, sports, and entertainment.
Known by his nickname “Latwogang,” the influencer streamed from a studio apartment in Warsaw, continuously broadcasting while listening to a charity song dedicated to children battling cancer, alongside challenges and a steady stream of famous guests.
The song, titled “I’m Still Here,” is performed by an 11-year-old girl in collaboration with Polish rapper Bedoes 2115, carrying a powerful symbolic message directed at cancer, blending defiance with emotional storytelling.
Throughout the broadcast, musicians, actors, athletes, and online creators joined in, recreating iconic moments from their careers in a supportive atmosphere that fueled the campaign’s momentum.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin appeared in a short video message, sharing an improvised musical clip that included a Polish word in support of the fundraiser, joking about his pronunciation.
In the early hours, speed skater Vladimir Semirunniy joined the stream, donating his Winter Olympics silver medal and shaving his head live in solidarity with young patients, a gesture later echoed by several guests.
The campaign gained massive traction online, with football star Robert Lewandowski sharing a TikTok dance linked to the song and donating around 270,000 dollars.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny also contributed content, while Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal appeared in a joint video with him. Tennis champion Iga Świątek added support with a donation of around 27,000 dollars and Wimbledon tickets.
Although the initial target was just 500,000 złoty (about 140,000 dollars), total donations surged to 257 million złoty (around 70 million dollars), making it one of the largest livestream fundraising efforts ever recorded.
The final moments of the stream drew more than 1.5 million viewers, alongside children battling cancer, marking a widely followed digital humanitarian event.
After the broadcast ended, organizers thanked supporters, stressing that the aim was to raise awareness that cancer “is not a death sentence,” and confirming that all funds will be transparently managed through a dedicated platform.
