The Jordan Basketball Federation said in an official statement issued on Sunday that it deeply regrets the incidents that accompanied two matches held over the past two days, announcing that their details have been referred to the relevant committees to restore discipline to the sporting scene.
The decision covers the following matches:
Premier League: The match between Al-Faisaly Club and Amman United Club, held on Friday (January 30) at Prince Hamzah Hall.
Girls’ League (Under 14):
The match between Shabab Al-Fuheis Club and the Orthodox Club, held on Saturday (January 31) at Shabab Al-Fuheis Club Hall.
Referral to the Discipline and Conduct Committee
The federation confirmed that, in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions, it has decided to refer all reports and developments related to the two matches to the “Discipline and Conduct Committee” to take the necessary legal action against those found in violation.
Message from the Federation President
For his part, Dr. Samir Baker, President of the Jordan Basketball Federation, stressed the need for all parties involved in the game to adhere to rules and sportsmanship.
Baker said: “Commitment to regulations is the guarantee for the continued success of our competitions and for strengthening the status and reputation of Jordanian basketball locally and regionally,” noting that the federation will not hesitate to enforce the law to protect the image of the sport.

“The Jordan Basketball Federation expresses its deep regret over what occurred during the two recent matches between Al-Faisaly Club and Amman United Club in the Premier League, held on Friday at Prince Hamzah Hall, and the match between Shabab Al-Fuheis Club and the Orthodox Club in the Under-14 Girls’ Championship, held on 31/1/2026 at Shabab Al-Fuheis Club Hall.
Accordingly, and in line with the applicable regulations and instructions, the federation has decided to refer the proceedings of both matches to the Discipline and Conduct Committee to take the necessary legal measures.”
The statement concluded by reaffirming Dr. Samir Baker’s call for all parties to abide by the rules and instructions to ensure the continued success of competitions and to enhance the standing and reputation of basketball locally and regionally.
