  • Aline Khalaf returned to music out of responsibility to her family and daughter
  • She revealed past struggles and career setbacks

Lebanese singer Aline Khalaf explained the reasons behind her return to the music scene after years of absence, stressing that her decision was not motivated by fame or artistic rivalries, but by a sense of duty toward her family and daughter, considering herself the main support of her household.

She clarified in a podcast interview that she bears significant responsibilities despite her small family, pointing out that she often plays the role of both father and mother, striving to provide for all her family’s needs. She added that her comeback is driven by this sense of obligation, not by a desire to prove herself or compete in the music industry.

Khalaf emphasized that she is her own support first and foremost, and that her daughter will feel proud seeing her achieve new successes, especially after witnessing difficult moments in her life, including her tears, stress, and emotional struggles in previous periods.

She reviewed her career path, noting that it was far from easy and marked by tough experiences that affected her psychological and artistic stability. Today, however, she is stronger, more aware, and determined to enter a new, calmer, and more mature phase.

In controversial remarks, Khalaf accused her former manager, Gigi Lamara, of working against her and seeking revenge after their professional split, explaining that he later focused on discovering another talent, Nancy Ajram, and managing her career.

She pointed out that Lamara supported Ajram in her early career following their fallout, attempting to create a new star similar to Khalaf’s experience. She stressed, however, that she holds no ill feelings toward Nancy, wishing her success and prosperity instead.

Answering a question from journalist Mohammed Qais about what she lost during that period, Khalaf admitted that she lost herself and her rising stardom, which was at a genuine peak at the time.

The singer also shared shocking details about the children’s album “Shakhbat Shakhabit”, explaining that it was originally offered to her before Nancy Ajram, but the production company withdrew it and gave it to Lamara, who later presented it to Nancy, achieving widespread success upon release.

She added that the song “Akhasmak Ah” was initially meant for her, with the composer offering it multiple times, but she wasn’t enthusiastic at the time, being focused on her hit “Law Andak Kalam”, despite her brother’s advice to take the song then.
