Turkish Police Conduct Security Raid to Arrest “Gullo”’s Daughter Information Indicates the Artist’s Daughter and Her Friend Planned to Leave the Country

In a significant development in the case of the late Turkish artist Gullo, Turkish police have detained her daughter Tuyan and her friend as a precautionary measure to prevent them from leaving the country, amid growing suspicions that the late artist may have been the victim of a murder rather than a mere accident as previously reported.

The arrest followed a security raid carried out by police early Wednesday morning in an apartment in Buyukcekmece, west of Istanbul, where the two young women were residing. The case traces back to the night Gullo fell from her fifth-floor bedroom window in Yalova last September, during which Sultan Nur was reportedly with her.

According to local media, the decision to detain the two women came after information emerged that they intended to leave Turkey, while investigations continue without a final conclusion regarding the cause of the artist’s death.

The Turkish public prosecutor has charged the women with premeditated murder, citing evidence including contradictions in their statements during interrogation, prompting investigators to widen the scope of suspicion.

Security measures did not stop there; the driver who transported the women from Yalova to Istanbul, as well as the apartment owner where they were staying, were also detained.

The incident occurred on the night of September 26, when surveillance cameras showed the late artist entering her room after dancing to music, just minutes before her tragic fall from the window.

Despite the daughter denying any criminal involvement or family disputes with her mother, the shocking circumstances of the 52-year-old artist’s death rattled the Turkish art scene and sparked wide public debate.

A subsequent forensic report revealed a high level of alcohol in the deceased’s blood, along with anti-anxiety medication, factors that could have caused a loss of balance. However, these findings did not settle suspicions and instead complicated the case further.

Gullo’s death remains under close scrutiny and intense public attention, with her fans questioning the “accidental fall” narrative and favoring the theory that a crime may have caused this mysterious departure.
