“Young Nashimat” begin preparations for Morocco and Algeria in Tunisia

  • Jordan Women’s U20 Team begins training in Tunisia ahead of North Africa championship

The Jordan National Women’s Football Team Under-20 started intensive technical and physical training in Sousse, Tunisia, in preparation for the North Africa Women’s Championship, scheduled from 26 November to 2 December, across the cities of Tunis and Sousse.

First Training and Preparations for Algeria and Morocco Matches

The team held its first session on Monday afternoon at the Muradi Chott Mariem Stadium under coach Hussam Abu Riyash.

All players attended except Arwa Al-Bataineh, who is expected to join the squad on Tuesday.

The training in Tunisia aims to enhance players’ physical and technical readiness ahead of the intense competition.

The national team will open its campaign in the group stage against Algeria at 4:30 PM (Jordan time) on 28 November.

The “Young Nashmiyat” will face Morocco at the same time on 30 November. All matches will be held at Sousse Olympic Stadium.

23-Player Squad and Group Stage Challenge

The squad consists of 23 carefully selected players: Celine Saif, Sajda Issa, Celine Shank, Ranim Al-Dawood, Sadeen Obeidat, Lian Al-Dmour, Nour Ahmed, Rama Al-Khashouk, Marah Abbas, Rinad Shweiki, Lamar Shalabi, Diana Al-Khawaja, Malak Salameh, Riana Issa, Hala Marar, Afnan Hammad, Zeina Al-Dawood, Mira Al-Atari, Arwa Al-Bataineh, Mira Jrar, Haya Abu Ali, Dana Abu Hazim, and Kenda Al-Titi.

According to the tournament format, participating teams are divided into two groups, each with three teams.

The first-place team in each group will play for the championship, while the second-place teams will compete for the runner-up, and the third-place teams will contest the bronze medal.

The participation of the Jordan Women’s National Team in this regional tournament is an important step to strengthen its regional presence, improve physical and technical performance, and serve as ideal preparation for the U20 Women’s Asian Cup finals in April in Thailand.
