Diana Areas, a nutritionist and social media influencer, died at the age of 39 after falling from her apartment in a residential tower in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

She was found dead on Thursday, November 13, in a communal area of the complex.

Her death followed her leaving the hospital earlier that morning without permission, where she had been treated for injuries, according to local sources.

Reports indicate that Areas, who had around 200,000 Instagram followers for her nutrition and fitness content, fell from the top floor of the building.

Her body was discovered in a shared area of the complex, with her partner notifying authorities.

Some sources reported that the couple had argued shortly before the incident.

Her body was transported to the Forensic Medical Institute in Campos dos Goytacazes.

The Civil Police opened an investigation into the cause of death, without revealing further details.
