Excitement and intensity return to Jordanian football stadiums as the tenth week of the 2025/2026 Jordanian Pro League kicks off on Thursday.

This week features decisive and thrilling matches, most notably the "Northern Clasico" between league leaders Al-Ramtha and Al-Wehdat, alongside the Al-Jazeera vs. Al-Faisaly clash, in a pivotal stage for both the title and relegation battles.

Al-Ramtha’s lead under threat, the chase continues

The league enters its tenth week with Al-Ramtha topping the table with 23 points, despite their last-week 1-1 draw with Al-Salt. The match saw Al-Salt take the lead through Endurance Epideberi in the 12th minute before Al-Ramtha equalized via Kowabina Darko in the 69th minute.

Al-Faisaly closely pursues Al-Ramtha from second place with 22 points, following their thrilling 3-2 victory over Al-Ahli last week, a match that saw a comeback by Al-Ahli before Hadi Al-Hourani secured the win for Al-Faisaly in the 87th minute.

Al-Hussein Irbid sits third with 18 points, followed by Al-Wehdat in fourth with 16 points, with a postponed match against Al-Baqa’a due to their AFC Champions League participation.

Week ten: three days of intense competition

Thursday, October 30 (opening day):

The round opens with two key matches. First, Shabab Al-Ordon vs. Al-Salt at 5:00 PM at King Abdullah II Stadium. Both teams aim to improve their positions: Shabab Al-Ordon (8 points) seeks to move away from the bottom, while Al-Salt (12 points) fights to climb the mid-table.

The second match sees Al-Ahli face Al-Hussein Irbid at 7:30 PM at Amman International Stadium. Al-Hussein Irbid (18 points) enters following a 4-0 win over Al-Sarhan last week, aiming to strengthen third place and close in on the top, while Al-Ahli (4 points) needs a win to escape the relegation zone.

Friday, October 31:

The competition continues with a key clash between lower and mid-table teams, as Al-Sarhan, bottom of the table with no points, faces Al-Baqa’a (10 points) at 5:00 PM at Al-Hasan Stadium in Irbid. A win for Al-Baqa’a would distance them from the relegation threat, while Al-Sarhan aims to earn its first point of the season.

This is followed by the "Mini Capital Derby," Al-Jazeera vs. Al-Faisaly at 7:30 PM at Amman International Stadium. Al-Faisaly (22 points) cannot accept anything less than victory to maintain the gap with Al-Ramtha, while Al-Jazeera (11 points) seeks to disrupt "Al-Za’eem" and improve its standing.

Saturday, November 1 (highlight match):

The round concludes with the "Northern Clasico," Al-Ramtha vs. Al-Wehdat at 6:30 PM at Al-Hasan Stadium in Irbid. This match is crucial for both sides: Al-Ramtha aims to consolidate their lead and block pursuing Al-Faisaly, while Al-Wehdat (16 points, with a postponed match) seeks a victory to re-enter the title race and reduce the points gap.

Week nine: decisive results shape the battle

Week nine results outlined the current title and relegation battles:

• Al-Faisaly secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Al-Ahli, thanks to Hadi Al-Hourani’s late goal, keeping them in the title race.

• Al-Hussein Irbid crushed Al-Sarhan 4-0 (goals by Mahmoud Dhib “2”, Salim Obeid, and Louis Kakouri), solidifying third place.

• Al-Jazeera drew 0-0 with Shabab Al-Ordon, a result that did not serve either team’s ambitions.

• Al-Wehdat vs. Al-Baqa’a was postponed to allow Al-Wehdat to focus on their Asian campaign.
