In a tragic incident that shook Yemen, three girls from the same family drowned on Wednesday while attempting to collect water from a water barrier in Taiz Governorate in southwestern Yemen. The heartbreaking event highlights the severe hardships residents face due to the lack of basic services.

According to Yemeni media sources, the three girls, all under the age of ten, fell into the water reservoir located in Al-Barha village, Jabal Habashi District, west of Taiz, during their daily routine of fetching water for their families in areas severely lacking water networks and essential service projects.
