In a shocking incident that shook the city of Ismailia, Egypt, security forces discovered the dismembered body of a child near a well-known mall. Subsequent investigations revealed that the perpetrator was a 13-year-old boy, a classmate of the victim.

According to Egyptian media reports, authorities received a notification about the discovery of the child’s body near a branch of a popular shopping mall in the city.

Luring the Victim

Initial investigations showed that the perpetrator lured his classmate to his home in the New Station area of Ismailia’s First District, where he struck him on the head with a wooden stick, causing his death.

Authorities added that the boy then used a sharp tool to dismember the victim’s body before transporting it and dumping it near the mall to conceal the crime.

A police team from the Ismailia Police Department cordoned off the area where the body was found, while investigators began examining the crime scene and collecting evidence.

The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue at Suez Canal University Hospital under the custody of the competent authorities to complete the investigations.
