A citizen, speaking to the program "From Here We Begin," confirmed that she was harmed by a problem in the recruitment of a domestic worker. According to her, the results of a medical examination conducted at a private laboratory by the domestic worker she hired showed that she had tuberculosis, while the medical examination conducted by the recruitment agency upon hiring the worker indicated that she was medically fit.
The citizen presented the test results to the Directorate of Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health, who informed her that the Ministry relies on X-rays, not laboratory tests. This led to a problem for the domestic worker, the citizen, and the recruitment agency.
Guests on the program:
Um Zaid - Affected Citizen
Dr. Ayman Muqabala - Director of the Directorate of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health
Tariq Al-Nouti - Head of the Syndicate of Owners of Recruitment Agencies for Non-Jordanian Domestic Workers
