A citizen is suffering from the interruption of his wife"s cancer treatment for the past five months, despite her regular medical follow-up at King Abdullah University Hospital.
The man confirms that the medication his wife needs daily is unavailable at the hospital, while its cost outside hospitals is approximately 58 Jordanian dinars per month—a continuous financial burden the family cannot bear.
The biggest problem, according to the man, is that this medication is prohibited from being sold in pharmacies within Jordan and is only available through hospital tenders. This leaves patients with two equally unpalatable options: waiting without treatment or searching for the medication through costly and complicated means.
