Min Hunna Nabda - Retired engineers complain about the "72-hour" deadline for "inspecting the situation".

Some retired members of the Engineers Syndicate complained to our program "From Here We Begin" about a decision issued by their syndicate. The decision involved sending a text message dated December 20, 2025, requiring them to visit the syndicate or one of its branches within 72 hours, by December 23, 2025, under penalty of having their pensions suspended retroactively.

Retirees over the age of 65 complained about the difficulty of meeting the deadline, especially given the requirement for personal attendance, as some of them suffer from serious health conditions, while others are abroad on holiday.

The retirees also requested that the syndicate link the activation of the "status check" system with the Civil Status and Passports Department and our embassies abroad.
