A number of "coaster" bus owners complained to the "From Here We Begin" program about what they described as unfair and complex licensing procedures, asserting that these procedures have become a financial and operational burden threatening their continued operation.

Affected owners stated that the current licensing requirements stipulated in the law differentiate between technical violations recorded against the bus and violations recorded against the driver. They explained that upon licensing, the fines are collected from the bus owners because the driver"s license is only renewed every five years.

Guests on the program:

Eng. Raed Al-Rayashi - Affected Owner

Abdullah Al-Badareen - Media Spokesperson for the Jordanian Bus Owners Syndicate

Dr. Adnan Khashashneh - Lawyer and Legal Expert
