Last week, the "From Here We Start" program discussed a note regarding the spread of rodents and rats in the upscale Sweifieh suburb, which has angered residents and visitors alike, especially since the suburb is one of the most prominent areas frequented by expatriate shoppers and tourists during the summer.
It is one of Amman"s most upscale neighborhoods, known for its upscale shopping centers and luxurious cafes. The presence of rats has tarnished its image, amidst the crowds gathered around private and public properties.
The Municipality has contacted the owners of closed private properties to request permission to enter the area, clean it, and control potential health and environmental repercussions.
