In this section of the From Here We Start program, we review citizens’ complaints about the significant increase in local meat prices in local markets, where the price of one kilogram reached 14 dinars, according to statements by some merchants.
Traders attributed this increase to the Ministry of Agriculture’s decision to open the door to exporting livestock to neighboring countries, which prompted barn owners to reduce the supply of livestock to the local market and monopolize them with the aim of selling them later at higher prices in foreign markets.
