In this segment of the program "From Here It Began," across an area of approximately three thousand dunams between Fuheis and Amman, lies one of the most important natural treasures in Jordan. Oak, pine, and pistachio trees cover a vast area, particularly in the Deir Basin. However, this treasure is now under threat due to environmental violations and the exploitation of loopholes in the building regulations by property developers. The local community in the Al-Baloot and Deir neighborhoods is racing to preserve the green cover by planting thousands of trees and protecting the ancient ones. Yet, property developers continue to mar the area due to legislative loopholes. Will the concerned authorities act to stop this destruction before it"s too late?"
