Min Hunna Nabda - Have the governorate's markets entered a recession?

In this section of the From Here We Start program, despite the daily offers and massive discounts on all types of goods in the city of Aqaba, especially clothing, the return of students to schools, and citizens receiving their salaries, Aqaba’s markets are “groaning” and suffering from an unprecedented recession for months.

Aqaba merchants realize that the state of commercial stagnation is due to two things - the aggression on Gaza - and the decline in the purchasing power of citizens, in addition to the high temperatures during these months, which greatly affected commercial activity, as it forced some merchants to close their shops during the day to mitigate losses and reduce the energy bill.
