Min Hunna Nabda - "Tourist cars" face a crisis due to new fees that threaten to shut some of them down.

In this segment of the "From Here We Begin" program, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority has imposed double fees and guarantees on tourist car rental offices, forcing many to shut down and lay off employees. The new fees include 75 dinars per car, in addition to 175 dinars payable to the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, and a bank guarantee of 10,000 dinars. The offices are experiencing a severe financial crisis due to these additional costs, amidst a decline in tourism activity resulting from geopolitical events and the war in Gaza. The sector is suffering from a significant drop in the number of clients, threatening its continuity. Office owners have called for a reconsideration of these decisions and have approached the Aqaba Chamber of Commerce for support and urgent solutions.
