In this segment of the "From Here We Start" program, we explore the struggles faced by users of the Amman Rapid Bus system, which reflect notable issues with adherence to the standards set by the project"s vision.
The vision was supposed to ensure accurate trip timings through the mobile app, along with providing air-conditioned buses in both summer and winter. However, reality shows clear shortcomings from some operators and drivers.
Additionally, elderly individuals and those with mobility disabilities, who receive free tickets, have expressed their frustration with some drivers who refuse to stop for them. This disrupts their mobility and exposes them to poor treatment.
Calls are increasing to enhance supervision of bus lines and to follow up on complaints to ensure that issues are resolved and service is improved.
