In this segment of the program "From Here We Begin," the Abdullah King District in the Mafraq Governorate, which is home to about 30,000 residents, faces an increasing challenge due to the absence of a health center to serve its population. Despite the continuous population growth in the area, residents, especially those reliant on national aid, have to walk 4 kilometers to reach the nearest health center.
For 15 years, residents have been demanding the establishment of a comprehensive health center to meet their needs, but repeated promises have yet to result in any change. As a result, citizens are forced to rely on the Mafraq Governmental Hospital or health centers in distant areas.
