Min Hunna Nabda - The municipality is planting a solar field to tackle the high energy bill.

In this segment of the "From Here We Begin" program, we review the significant financial challenges faced by the Greater Ajloun Municipality, which is burdened with a debt of 11 million dinars, while its annual budget is estimated at 10 million dinars. One of the main challenges confronting the municipality is the energy bill, which constitutes 20% of the total budget. As part of the efforts to alleviate the financial burden and reduce expenses, the Greater Ajloun Municipality has launched a solar field project with support from the Canadian government. This project aims to generate solar energy with a capacity of 1 megawatt, equivalent to the energy consumed by the municipality’s facilities.
