Female students confirmed that they were subjected to inappropriate conduct by a teacher. The teacher threatened the students to prevent them from reporting his behavior.

The Egyptian Administrative Prosecution has ordered that a teacher at a girls’ industrial secondary school in Beheira Governorate be referred to urgent disciplinary trial, over accusations of committing misconduct against several students and abusing his position to threaten them with failing grades in order to intimidate and pressure them.

The incident began after a report was submitted by the educational administration, followed by the formation of an internal committee to investigate immediately upon receiving a complaint from one of the students. The committee heard testimonies from several students who indicated they had been subjected to similar conduct, amid reluctance to report due to alleged threats related to academic grading.

According to the findings of the Administrative Prosecution’s investigations, the teacher exploited his position within the school and engaged in unprofessional behavior, including verbal misconduct and inappropriate actions, in addition to using communication platforms to contact some students in an improper manner and attempting to pressure them through various means within the educational environment.

The incident has sparked widespread public anger in Egypt, with calls to strengthen oversight within educational institutions and ensure the protection of students and the maintenance of a safe and disciplined learning environment.
