Professional observations during the latest episodes of his program Final decision to be determined later regarding appropriate measures

The Egyptian Journalists Syndicate announced strict measures against actor and media figure Tamer Abdel Moneim, host of a program, including a temporary ban from appearing in any media outlet, as well as referring him to investigation at the syndicate headquarters in the coming days.

The Head of the Journalists Syndicate, Dr. Tarek Saada, explained that the decision was based on reports from the syndicate’s media observatory, which recorded professional violations and irregularities in recent episodes of the program, deemed inconsistent with applicable professional regulations.

Saada noted that the accusations include breaches of the media honor charter and professional conduct code, in addition to causing media controversy that does not align with professional standards, following a previous media crisis linked to actor Mahmoud Hegazy.

Tamer Abdel Moneim is scheduled to appear before the syndicate’s legal committee to be heard and discuss the allegations against him. The final decision regarding the continuation of the suspension or further measures will be issued later based on the committee’s recommendations after the investigation concludes.

In an official statement, the Head of the Journalists Syndicate affirmed that the syndicate is committed to enforcing professional rules without exception, stressing that the goal is to regulate media performance and protect the media message from violations, ensuring content that respects audiences and professional values.

These measures come within a broader approach adopted by the syndicate in recent times to regulate media work and ensure adherence to approved professional and ethical standards.
