• Ashraf Zaki to mediate between Ramez and Asmaa Galal

Egyptian Actors’ Syndicate head Ashraf Zaki has announced his intention to mediate in the ongoing dispute between actors Ramez Galal and Asmaa Galal, saying he will act once tensions have eased.

The controversy began after Asmaa filed a complaint with the public prosecutor regarding a recent episode of Ramez’s show, which included personal insults, public bullying, and inappropriate language.

The case has been referred to the specialized prosecution in 6th of October City.

Speaking to the media, Zaki stressed his respect for both actors and confirmed he would intervene after the situation calms, noting, “Don’t strike while the iron is hot.”

He added that he does not believe Ramez intended to harm Asmaa, describing the remarks as “just a joke,” which Ramez meant in good faith.

Zaki also addressed another dispute involving actor Ahmed Maher, who insulted veteran director Tawfiq Galal, father of Ramez and Yasser Galal. He said Maher spoke spontaneously as a close friend of the director, and the syndicate has issued an official apology while reaffirming its respect for the Galal family.
