A tragic incident shook Giza Governorate after the body of a 7-year-old girl was found inside her family home in the Monib area, a case that sparked widespread sorrow and anger in Egypt during the day of Ramadan.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspected perpetrator, a neighbor approximately 16 years old, took advantage of the child’s mother being away for work, and committed the act inside the home in front of the younger sister, who witnessed part of the incident.

Lifeless body on the bed Upon returning home, the mother found her daughter lifeless on the bed, with visible physical injuries. The body was immediately transferred to Zinhim morgue under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, which launched extensive investigations, inspected the crime scene, and ordered a forensic examination to determine the cause of death accurately, with burial authorized after completing legal procedures.

Security forces are intensifying efforts to apprehend the suspect and complete the investigations, while citizens expressed strong outrage on social media, calling for stricter preventive measures and enhanced protection for children in residential areas, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, which is meant to be a time of mercy and safety.
