In an appearance marked by boldness and strong emotion, Egyptian actress Likaa El-Khamissi opened her heart about one of the most difficult moments of her personal life, revealing the shock and anger she felt after learning that her former husband, retired goalkeeper Mohamed Abdel Monsef, had secretly married actress Iman Al-Zayedi.

She said that what happened was not merely an emotional dispute, but a direct attack on her life and her family’s stability, stressing that getting involved with a married man and destroying his home and reputation is unacceptable and unjustifiable.

She added that what hurt her most was her feeling that the situation had been orchestrated to push her out of her marital life, pointing out that when the truth finally emerged, it completely shifted the situation and placed everyone before the consequences of their own choices.

Artistic return after a long absence

On the professional level, Likaa El-Khamissi returns to television drama this season with two projects at the same time, after a five-year absence since her participation in Ijaza Maftouha (Open Leave).

She currently appears in Rouge Aswad (Black Rouge) alongside a group of leading actresses, including Rania Youssef, Dalia Mostafa, Mai Selim and Farah El-Zahed. The series presents stories inspired by real life, focusing on women facing painful marital and family crises, with their paths intersecting inside family courts in a deeply human drama that goes beyond betrayal and separation to address more complex social issues.

She also appears as a special guest in the series Darsh, starring Mostafa Shaaban, written by Mahmoud Haggag and directed by Ahmed Khaled Amin. The story follows a simple herbal shop worker who returns to his old neighborhood after many years, only to lose his memory in a mysterious accident, triggering a journey to uncover a past filled with secrets and double lives in a suspenseful and emotionally driven narrative.
